Meet Our Executive Team
J. Hunter East is Chairman of the Board and founding partner of Clearview International, LLC. His strength is working with management to create long term value for shareholders through both short and long term strategies. Prior to co-founding Clearview International, LLC, Hunter spent over 20 years in various management roles with Pulaski Bank and Trust. He was CEO of the company when it was successfully sold to IberiaBank in February, 2007. His experience includes the growth and management of not only Pulaski Bank and Trust, but also the bank’s two major subsidiaries, Pulaski Mortgage Company and Lenders Title Company. The sale of the bank represented what is arguably the highest multiple ever realized by shareholders of an Arkansas banking franchise.Hunter attended Southern Methodist University where he received a Bachelor of Administration in Business, with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.
Mr. Karklins has led sales, operations, and finance functions across his 23-year career. He was previously the Vice President of Sales for Hosting.com, where he led the global sales team in the organic and inorganic growth of revenue by over 81% in 18 months and ramped the sales of Hosting.com’s cloud computing platforms to the prominent line of business. Previously, he was the CFO for an international joint venture company, where he guided the company through three years of 75%+ growth and a successful equity exit. Mr. Karklins has more than a decade of experience in the high tech industry, serving in front line sales, sales management, global consulting, marketing, and product development roles for Avaya, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T. Specializing in enterprise software and distributed technology systems, he was recognized for the creation of global CRM systems, outsourcing strategy, and managed services products. As an officer in the US Army, TJ was a combat helicopter pilot and company commander in the 10th US Cavalry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Colorado, an MBA from the University of Denver, and is a fellow and alumnus of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Davis has been an investor in Clearview since 2009 when he served as a Senior Managing Director and founding partner of Rock Financial Partners, LLC. In addition to private investments, his background includes many aspects of analysis, finance, sales and management positions within the public and private capital markets. Prior to Rock Financial Partners, he spent over 19 years with Stephens Inc., a full-service investment bank regarded as one of the largest firms off of Wall Street. In his last position, Scott served as Executive Vice President, Equity Capital Markets with oversight responsibility for the origination and execution of all public offering transactions. During his tenure, Scott served in various positions including Head of the Institutional Equity Sales Department, Head of the Syndicate Department, and as a Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Department. He served on various management committees including as Head of the Underwriting Committee, a member of the Capital Markets and Fairness Opinion Committees, and as a manager of Stephens Investment Partners. He also represented the firm as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association, Southern/South Central District Board. Scott attended the University of Arkansas where he received a B.S.B.A., Finance. He serves on the Boards of Directors of P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc. and Shakey’s USA, Inc. as well as several not for profit organizations.
Mr. Battershell has been providing Managed Services to global businesses for over 15 years. As a senior executive at Clearview, Accenture, LSG Sky Chefs, and Uniden, Jay has demonstrated successful leadership of IT organizations and IT outsourcing teams in the delivery of business results while continuing to decrease the total cost of ownership for IT. He has provided IT leadership and services for businesses of various scope, size, and maturity from startups to Fortune 500 firms and has held key roles in sales, planning, and delivery of vital business solutions (including ERP, supply chain, back office, and B2B) and the transformation of business functions through organization change, governance and strategic alignment, and sourcing solutions. Jay has a BA in Information Sciences and a MBA from Baylor University.
Curtis Shelton has over 23 years of experience leading IT transformation efforts from startups to Fortune 500 firms. He held Senior level positions at CA Technologies, Acxiom, Incentium, GSI Commerce, SI Corporation, IMS Health ST, and Jacobs Engineering. Most recently he led a design and development effort for the integration of various monitoring tools to be used by top Global Service Providers to manage their cloud platforms. Over the course of his career he has led many process improvement initiatives that have resulted in reduced cost, increased quality, improved system availability, and increased customer satisfaction. Curtis has experience in many industries including Petro-chemical, Engineering/Procurement/Construction, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, E-Commerce, Payment Processing, Multi-Channel Marketing, Managed Services, and Software Development. Over the course of his career he has managed the full life cycle of various technology projects including Cloud Management, Big Data/Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, ERP, Financial systems, OMS/WMS, Engineering platforms (CAD), Payment processing, Employee Incentive Programs, and back office systems. Curtis earned a BA in Management from National University and an MBA in Leadership and Management from Capella University.
Mr. Jennings has over thirty years of I.T. experience. Garry has had successful leadership positions for Clearview Data Center Operations, Federal government Space and Aeronautics research, development projects, and operations management for U.S. Space Satellite Operations. Garry has directed the strategic planning and implementation of all facets of I.T. solutions, including roles as a senior systems analyst and project manager. Garry has demonstrated successful leadership of projects of various scope and size while employed by Clearview and Fortune 500 firms, which have included strategic business solutions development and implementation, process change management, MRP, ERP, supply chain, back office, disaster recovery planning and support, high availability systems planning, and worldwide infrastructure operations. Mr. Jennings is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy and a former Air Force fighter pilot.
