Includes Both Data Center Services and Managed Services Offerings

DALLAS. TX, February 1, 2012–Clearview International, LLC, today announced it has obtained SSAE 16 audit certification for its data centers in North and Central Texas. SSAE 16 replaces the previous auditing standard, SAS 70, which reviews the operating effectiveness of the internal controls as well as verifying that the design of the internal controls meets high standards. Clearview data centers have been SAS 70 Type II for many years.

“Clearview tested and attained its many control objectives – even under the more exacting SSAE standards,” commented Jay Battershell, Clearview COO. “Clearview centers continue to be a safe, highly controlled environment for clients’ primary and recovery data centers.

The Clearview data centers have been verified in a Service Organization Control Report (SOC 2) prepared under the terms of the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16 (SSAE16) by independent auditing firm Montgomery, Coscia and Greilich, LLP. The independent audit assessed the following key areas:

Oversight by executive management

Operations and customer service

Development and information technology organization

Human resources policies and procedures

Risk assessment monitoring

TJ Karklins, Clearview’s CEO noted, “Data center colocation creates a strong ROI for enterprise clients. This value is realized through disciplined daily operation of well-designed facilities and rigorous compliance standards. Our successful transition to the improved SSAE 16 Type II standard is a clear testament to our great people.”

About Clearview: Clearview International, LLC, is a leading IT consulting, data center colocation, and cloud computing provider. With multiple facilities in North and Central Texas, Clearview is well positioned to support the entire state of Texas and the broader national market.

IT teams live in a cauldron of business demands, shrinking resources, and vendor push. Clarity of thought and communication are the best tools to align resources, planning, and execution. Linking these to business and financial results further focuses the effort and simplifies the message for broad internal communication. Boiling everything down into three definable steps is a powerful tactic.

Recent Clearview engagements have uncovered a pattern for enterprise data centers that is working at firms across multiple industries. This pattern is driven by continuing improvements in the flexibility and speeed of virtualization software, by accelerated equity investment in the data center colocation industry, and by the strong cash savings provide by each as they are adopted by enterprise IT leadership. In only three words:

Virtualize

Source

Recover

1. VIRTUALIZE – Virtualization enables consolidation of infrastructure, increases server utilization, creates a “Cloud”, and reduces operating expenses. Administration, hardware, maintenance, power, space & cooling costs are all reduced. If you think you have seen this before, you have. Software virtualization is to servers what IP telephony was to telephone systems. Telephone systems have consolidated from many to few in most enterprises. Consolidate your infrastructure with virtualization tools. Savings impact = 30%.

2. SOURCE – Datacenters cost either $1000/sqft to build or $35/sqft/mo as a service from data center colocation providers. If you buy datacenter as a service, you benefit from cost avoidances such as maintenance, network access, auditing, staffing, and security; these are typically bundled with your space & power charges. Simple math reveals a payback advantage for colocation services exceeding five years. Computing will change significantly over the next five year and datacenter requirements will change even more. Externalize all or a portion of your datacenter footprint. Savings Impact = 20%.

3. RECOVER – Disaster Recovery is often a bridge too far. However, consolidation and sourcing can enable an IT disaster recovery plan as an affordable part of your new solution. Datacenter sourcing allows you to contract for two facilities where you could only build one. Most datacenter service providers will provide similar pricing for both single and multi-center deployment. Network connectivity, a key requirement for DR, is a highly competitive market with advantageous pricing trends. A DR solution, accelerated by services providers and virtualization software, is now within reach. Split your infrastructure into multiple locations and leverage duplicated systems, dev/test infrastructure, private cloud, and public cloud for enhance disaster recovery. Cost = +15%

As an operational plan: Create cash flow and reduce footprint and power consumption with virtualization. Move this efficient architecture to an external datacenter provider split across two locations each with different risk profiles and a minimum separation of 50 miles. Then, re-invest a third of expense run rate reduction the into DR systems, software, and workspace. You are left with a 30% expense run rate reduction, an agile virtualization environment (with a cloud “check-off”) and good resiliency with the new DR deployment.

Data Centers 2012: Virtualize. Source. Recover.

Waco, TX (Vocus/PRWEB) March 16, 2011

FiberLight, LLC, a premier provider of mission-critical, high performance fiber optic networking services including Ethernet, Wavelengths and Dedicated IP, SONET and Dark Fiber optical transport network solutions, announced today it has deployed its flagship LightSource Ethernet platform to connect Scott & White Health Plans new state-of-the-art facility in Temple, TX to Clearviews Data Center in Waco, TX. Scott & White Health Plan serves more than 220,000 members and is the insurance division of Scott & White, one of the nations largest multi-specialty health care systems, caring for patients across 25,000 square miles in the heart of central Texas.

Scott & White Health Plan required a flexible and secure end-to-end network solution that needed to be operational upon move-in into a new, purpose-built facility in Temple, TX. The network had to be up and running quickly in order to meet the clients three-month turnaround requirement, while providing scalability for future Ethernet usage patterns. FiberLight extended its fiber from its core backbone between Temple and Waco to the new Scott & White facility, provided the FiberLight LightSource Ethernet solution and connected the new facility with Clearview Data Center, which spanned a 40+ mile distance. The network provided Scott & White with a direct path, while offering ultra low latency and 99.999 percent reliability.

At FiberLight, we pride ourselves on being able to deliver a solution the client needs when they need it. Scott & White needed an operational point-to-point connection between two of our markets in three months, and because we have a vast network footprint in Texas, we were able to utilize that resource to meet the logistical requirements of the client while providing a unique network path diverse from the ILEC, said Ben Edmond, FiberLight EVP of Sales and Marketing.

When we moved into our new facility we had a different IT infrastructure environment, and we were not certain what our bandwidth requirements would be. FiberLight was able to provide scalable bandwidth, flexible terms and have the network operational in the timeframe we required, which made FiberLight the right fit for us, said Steve Raynes, Scott & White Health Plan IT Manager, Security, Network Operations and Production Control.

October 28, 2009

Dallas, TX: Clearview is proud to have been chosen as one of the Dallas 100 in 2009 by SMU’s Cox School of Business. Criteria for the award includes growth in revenues, clients, employees and capabilities. It honors the entrepreneurial spirit of the company and the bright future for Clearview and the other awardees.

“Clearview has grown from a small consultancy 13 years ago to a technology powerhouse today,” said Hilary Palmer, Clearview Director of Marketing. “Recently, the Big Three Dallas outsourcing companies have been bought by manufacturing companies. As a result, they have a different business model that affects the way they can serve clients. Clearview maintains the tradition that our client’s business is our number-one priority, and that’s what our clients expect”.

About the Dallas 100

The unsung heroes of our economy are the entrepreneurs who build their own businesses and create jobs as fast as large companies eliminate them. While entrepreneurs are the engines of growth in our economy, they often go unrecognized. The Dallas 100™ was created to correct this injustice. Each year we scan the business environment to identify the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in the Dallas Metroplex. We honor them at one of the most prestigious facilities in the Southwest, The Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

Waco-based Information Technology Gateway (ITG) expected to impact local economy and global reach of Central Texas community
DALLAS – September 16, 2009 – Clearview International LLC announced today the completion of a unique, multi-purpose data center that will become a nearly failsafe solution for clients’ business continuity and disaster recovery programs, while also enhancing??the global reach of the Central Texas business community. Located in Waco, Texas, the new Information Technology Gateway (ITG) will be home to enterprise hosting, managed services and business process outsourcing for companies operating throughout Texas and beyond.

“Amidst today’s uncertain business climate, global organizations increasingly face unforeseen challenges that can affect their IT infrastructure, workforce and data security needs,” said Clay Hill, Clearview partner. “With the opening of our Waco data center, we can now bring highly sought after capabilities to our clients who seek added security and business continuity for their data.”

The 43,000-square-foot facility includes the following security and business continuity features that can withstand the physical, virtual and personnel disruptions that nationwide disasters create:

A layered security protocol that includes biometrics, smart cards, DVR cameras and 24×7 personnel

Dual transformer commercial power feeds and multi-carrier fiber availability for operating capacity and redundancy

Large staging area to support mobile recovery vehicles and client employees displaced from their daily work environments

Disaster recovery office space

Disaster Recovery
Today, most data centers operate on a cold-site recovery plan that requires building a solution after a disaster. Further, good disaster recovery plans and better data security are increasingly becoming a corporate requirement brought about by global security and weather-related threats. Clearview’s high-availability approach has a recovery solution built in.??That means customers experience little or no downtime in the face of a disruption.

The Waco Information Technology Gateway repurposes a Cold War nuclear fall-out shelter, providing physical security previously unmet in the commercially available data center market. Its Central Texas location is within a 100-mile radius of Dallas, Austin and San Antonio, and within 200 miles of Houston, allowing for true data replication between the Waco ITG and clients in those cities. In addition, the Waco location is easily accessible by car in the event that the nation’s airways are disrupted and is located on a power grid separate from Texas’ major city systems, providing an advantage during potential blackouts and brownouts.

Jay Looney, Clearview partner, notes, “Disaster recovery and business continuity are becoming more and more important to clients every day. We have developed a business unit to specifically focus on these important business issues, turning what otherwise might have been catastrophes into predictable, manageable continuity and recovery scenarios.”

Global Gateway
Through high-speed data transport, the ITG provides the Waco area in Central Texas a new path to global corporations. The data center incorporates diverse fiber paths to a carrier hotel in Dallas with access to more than 200 international carriers. This allows companies to safely keep and access their information in Waco.

‘America First’
Waco’s positive business climate and availability of highly skilled employees makes it a U.S. alternative to companies contemplating outsourcing overseas.??Clearview is working with the Texas State Workforce Commission to find ways to keep jobs here and to train and transfer knowledge to workers who can stay in Texas.

“ ‘America First’ is Clearview’s approach to not-so-remote application outsourcing and business process outsourcing,” said Jay Battershell, Clearview partner. “While off-shoring has come to be a part of many business’ strategies, Clearview can offer on-shore services that offer superior services and come close in price to many foreign soil solutions.”

Paul Kite Company teamed with Clearview as developers of the facility. Cody Campbell, executive vice president of New Development for Paul Kite Company, said, “We are thrilled about completing the Waco ITG project, and thrilled about our partnership with Clearview. This development is part of a broad, nationwide data-center development initiative for us. In this challenging economic time it is a testament to the effectiveness of our strategy and the proficiency of our team.”

About Clearview: Clearview International LLC has been bringing clients improved IT strategy and outsourcing services since 1996. Through our multiple data centers, Clearview provides a redundant, reliable, scalable and practical suite of services that can be tailored to support clients’ needs from business and IT strategy to complete computing infrastructure.
